This beautiful 1920s Peking glass pendant necklace is most likely to be of Czech origin and we suspect it may be the work of Czech costume jewellery designers the Neiger brothers. The oval shaped pendant features large jade coloured Peking glass cabochons and beads juxtaposed with silver toned metal work. The elaborate metal work depicts a ring of flora to surround the large glass centrepiece and intermittent oval shapes around the edges to echo the smaller oval cabochons in shape and size. The pendant is backed with an ornate filigree metal design. The original silver toned chain is 16 inches long (not including the pendant) and 0.1 inches thick and interspersed with decorative beaded links sympathetic in design. There is a screw fastening original to the necklace to secure. An opulent and romantic piece with a timeless Art Nouveau aesthetic in excellent vintage condition.
